Eligibility for Participating in the Spot Round of Admission:

Candidate should have applied online (including payment of application fee as successful) to IIT Guwahati M.Tech. Programmes under Regular Category with a valid GATE score against the web advertisement in March-April 2021.

Candidates should NOT have got seats by IIT Guwahati in any of the Rounds of COAP-2021

Candidates should NOT have accepted or joined seats in MTech Programmes of any of IITs which have participated in COAP-2021.

Mere invitation and participation in Spot Round Admission does NOT guarantee seats/ admissions.

Step-1 Registration

Candidates are required to fill up the following link during 24-25 July 2021

Step-2 Spot Admission on 27-28 July 2021

All the candidates who wish to participate in the spot admission are to be readied during the spot admission.

Step-3 Call from IITG Official and Payment

• The Department will divide the eligible candidates into various batches based on their merit order.
• For each batch of candidates some time slot will be fixed, depending on the size of the batch.
• The department shall email to the candidates with the schedule and the mode of online meeting.
• As per the merit order, the candidates shall be offered vacant seats based on their original preferences. Change in preferences shall not be accepted.
• If a candidate is willing to accept the offered seat, then the candidate shall asked to make the payment of seat booking fee (of Rs 53,250/- in case of GEN/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS, and it Rs. 48,250/- for SC/ST/PwD) through e-payment portal immediately.
• The URL of e-payment portal: https://online.iitg.ac.in/epay/seatbook/
• A candidate who accepted the seat will be given a maximum of 30 minutes to make the payment and show/email the receipt to the department official.
• If a candidate who fail to make the payment and/or produce the proof of payment to the department official within the stipulated time, s/he shall have no claim on the offered seat. The seat will be offered to the next candidate in the queue.
