Admission to MS (by Research) in E-Mobility Programme for July 2021 Session


Eligibility Requirements for Applying to M.S.(R) in E-Mobility Programmes

Regular and Full-Time with GATE:
  • The regular candidates will be selected based on GATE score.
  • Candidates with BTech/BE or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Production Engineering (PE) or Automobile Engineering will be selected.
  • The candidates with BTech/BE or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE) should have a valid GATE score in Electrical Engineering (EE).
  • The candidates with BTech/BE or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (ME), Production Engineering (PE) or Automobile Engineering should have a valid GATE score in Mechanical Engineering (ME), Production and Industrial Engineering (PI).

Industry-sponsored Candidates:
  • The industry-sponsored candidates should have a B. Tech in either EE, EEE, ME, PE, Automobile Engg and must have scored at least 60% or equivalent CPI.
  • The selection of industry-sponsored candidates will be based on an interview.
  • The industry-sponsored candidate is one who is either employed in a company registered at MCA.
  • GATE qualification is not a pre-requisite for the industry-sponsored candidates.
  • The candidate must be employed and should have at least two years of work experience.
  • Upon completion of the course work, the industry-sponsored candidates can execute the project in their parent company.
  • These candidates can have one project supervisor from the industry with relevant experience.
  • The proposed fees for the industry-sponsored candidates is Rs.5 lacs/semester.
  • The industry-sponsored candidates are NOT entitled to receive any financial assistance from the Institute.
  • The candidate under this category must be a regular employee of his/her organization with at least 2 (two) years of experience at the time of admission and be engaged in professional work in the discipline in which admission is sought.
  • They should submit Sponsorship Letter in prescribed format (See: Sponsorship Letter Format DOC, PDF) from the employer. Applicants who do not furnish Sponsorship Letter will NOT be considered.
  • The final admission to the candidates under this category is based on the performance in the interview conducted by the concerned academic department/ center, academic credentials of the candidates, etc.

Important Note:

For students pursuing academic programme on part-time basis, the hostel accommodation is NOT provided. If the hostel accommodation is needed, they have to request for it and pay the required fees for it and it is subject to availability.
